The acquisition of “Transformer 1” by the Baker–Butler Elementary School in was acknowledged as a wonderful teaching opportunity for the school’s entire student body.

After installing “Transformer 1” on the school’s grounds, I delivered age appropriate lesson plans to each grade, K–5 th , in which I introduced concepts of sculptural space, art, craft, and geometry. As a part of these lessons, each student assembled a minimum of one module similar to those comprising “Transformer 1” for the creation of a ‘sister sculpture’ entitled “Transformer 2” to hang in the school’s main entryway.
